Working while Wanting to Work

Spoiler Alert: working over 30 hours a week does not leave a lot of time for looking for a professional job. I love working as a barista, seeing the regulars, and asking how their days are going are my favorite things about the job. However, that has left me zero time to finish my website, keep my portfolio up to date, and apply for jobs several times a day.

The other day, I brought my laptop to work early, and everything above the sun seemed to be going wrong. My internet connection was awful, my files were too large to upload, and my computer, while reliable, needed a restart I did not have time for. Sometimes life throws you curveballs that you have to walk off, even when it is frustrating.
